Our Testimonials
Small luxury bush location with tented accommodation. Comfortable big beds with lovely bedding and air con to combat the humidity. Super hot water showers, plenty of fluffy towels...perfect for returning from a soggy, rainy early morning game drive! All the staff were extremely enthusiastic about their roles at Umkumbe, and keen to share and listen to stories of game sightings. Main dining BOMA area was a lovely place to eat and each evening the chef would come and announce what had been prepared which was such a nice way for guests to be involved more than just the game guides. All the meals were delicious and plentiful including nice snacks and drinks on sundowner game drives.
Tent with all the comforts of a luxurious hard-wall room but with the possibility to hear the sounds of nature. Full immersion in the savannah, fabulous personnel, exemplary sympathy, in a human dimension. Here we feel a little like a big family. The very competent guides are very enthusiastic and take pleasure in the game drives and bush walk communicating their love of this nature, encounters with animals are magic.
The lodge is situated beautifully in the Sabi Sands park and the whole team behind it made the stay very enjoyable. A special thanks to Chloe, our amazing guide, who really went above and beyond for here guests. Her knowledge of the bush and driving skills were really outstanding. If I come back I will request her as my guide.
